AIDs Orphans in China

One problem that leaves hundreds of thousands of children orphaned in China is the AIDs epidemic.  This disease spreads by parents selling blood in order to get money for their family, especially in rural areas.  The video below shows the trailer for the movie "The Blood of the Yingzhou District," a documentary that follows a year of the life of children in a village in China affected by the virus.

  1. Katherine, I think your blog is wonderful. This trailer is so hard to watch but I think the documentary will be an important one. Their is a beautiful little girl on Lifeline's list right now with HIV. I pray for the children of China everyday! God Bless you Katherine and your wonderful efforts here.

  6. It's terrific to have a young person be a voice for orphans in China - and especially YOUR voice. Awesome! This is tough stuff to make people aware of - I am sure you will help some people open their lives to the most vulnerable.
